Hanoi to host ethnic groups’ cultural day

A cultural day for ethnic Vietnamese people will take place at the culture and tourism village for Vietnamese ethnic minority groups in Dong Mo tourist resort, Son Tay Town, Hanoi on April 18-19.

The festival is the first of its kind to be held under the Prime Minister’s decision to make the Day for Culture of the Vietnamese ethnic groups.

The event aims to highlight various cultural identities of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups and strengthen national solidarity.

The festival will include a documentary film on ethnic minority cultures and Uncle Ho with Vietnamese ethnic groups; and seminars of patriotic personalities, intellectuals, scientists, artisans and heads of villages.

It will also cover traditional costumes’ shows; cultural and arts performances; an exhibition of local specialties as well as tourist and cultural products, and traditional folk games.
