Listening traditional music and welcoming traditional Tet Holiday

VCD “Giai ðiệu Việt
Nam cuối tuần” - (Vietnam Melody Weekend) is traditional music in modern style but still full of national identity being performed by Vietnam Melody Ensemble – Vietnam Melody Center. It will become a spiritual gift at the coming traditional Tet Holiday.

 

The CD includes 15 items, which are 11 symphonic ensembles and solo of traditional musical instruments, 2 dance turns and 2 stage performances. Almost musical items are new compositions of Musician – Excellent artist Ba Que widely presented to audiences for the first time. Folk music materials with such Vietnamese melodies from regions all over the countries, instrumented according to World music style will be presented with traditional instruments in accordance with modern rhythm set.

 

Despite being rather strange, the genre of world music immediately drew attention of Vietnamese audiences at very first performances of oversea Vietnamese couple Nguyen Le – Huong Thanh. Following that, “Duong xa van dam” of musician Quong Trung has given a new music genre of choice and become more popular with domestic public.  A little bit different, “Vietnam Melody Weekend” returned to and is in favor of using mainly traditional lyric melodies. With a view to make the contribution to the preservation of traditional music values and introduce it to young audiences and get a position in music lovers’ hearts nowadays.

 

Traditional Tet Holiday is importance time in a year when people spend time together to exchange the best wishes and New Year’s gifts to each other. VCD Vietnam Melody Weekend” is not only wonderful spiritual gift to your dearest people at the Tet Nguyen Dan but also is a party of Vietnam traditional music for foreign tourists visiting Vietnam.

 

The VCD is published in December 2005 by Dihavina and widely sold at VDC supermarket and vide shops all over the country.
