QT Salon & Spa is ideally located on the bank of Hanoi's dreamy Hoan Kiem Lake. Lake-view VIP room is cosy, decorated in a warm orange colour, with smooth cushions, beautiful silks, and bamboo-shaped lights.

This cosy room is full of the smell of fresh, steaming coriander seeds, which are believed to be very good for the skin. Traditionally, in the first days of the Lunar New Year, Vietnamese mothers put a bunch of coriander seeds in a big pot and boil it to make special naturally perfumed water that everyone in the family uses to wash their face and body.

When you return from 10 restful minutes in the steam room, everything for your Fruit Body and Face Mask is ready. Options include banana juice with honey and black sesame with honey, papaya juice and honey. After a relaxing 30 minute body massage, your body will be wrapped in a special foil to enhance your skin's absorption of the special preparation.

Then it is time for a 30 minute face mask treatment. All the products used are simple but fresh and good for the skin, and include cucumber, honey and yoghurt. These natural beauty products will be applied to your face in turns, with chuom nong treatments in between. Chuom nong is a simple form of traditional massage using a warm towel gently pressed to the face. It is particularly good for relaxing tired muscles and improving circulation, and enlarges the pores so the skin can easily absorb the goodness of the products in the QT treatment.

After your face mask, you will go upstairs to enjoy a foot reflexology session. The reflexology room was impressively decorated with a bamboo ceiling, white organza curtains with lotus and bamboo embroidery. Stone walls with water running down them complete the picture, providing a relaxing murmur in the background. Your feet will be put in a basin with a warm herbal steam mix of tangerine skin cinnamon, lemongrass and grape leaves while the masseuse work on your hands and back QT Salon & Spa offer happy hour specials from 10 am to 12 am.
