The new, luxury Park Hyatt Saigon has just opened a new restaurant, described as the first in Vietnam embodying five different dining and entertainment sections. The 174-seat eatery serves a-la-carte dishes and drinks in sections named The Grill, Vietnamese Grill, Steam and Wok; Appetizer and Seafood Counter; Dessert Kitchen and Juice and Tea Station. The Grill section is where chefs grill meat over charcoal, while Vietnamese-style seafood is prepared at the Vietnamese Grill, Steam and Wok. The Appetizer and Seafood Counter serves local and imported seafood on ice. Home-made ice cream, sweets, fruit juices, beverages, Vietnamese tea and other specialty Vietnamese special drinks are available at the remaining sections of the eatery, designed by Super Potato of Japan, a team of specialists who design unique restaurant concepts. The restaurant on the mezzanine level of the hotel - in downtown Ho Chi Minh City - also has four private rooms, and an outdoor terrace overlooking central Lam Son Square. There is a bar serving the Park Hyatt Saigon's signature drinks, a wide selection of Caipirinha, plus a case containing more than 1,500 bottles of wines. Diners can order live seafood from a fish tank as well as Western-style steaks, Iamb and salmon imported in.
