The Park Lounge at Park Hyatt Saigon is delighted to introduce a new entertainer, Kat Parsons from Austria, who will provide live entertainment every evening except Tuesday from April 23, 2008 to 19 July 2008.

Kat was born in Vienna, Austria, to two American musicians working abroad. Her father sang opera at the Vienna Opera House, while her mother wrote and performed her own music to great acclaim. Naturally, Kat has inherited their talents. Possessing a voice of incredible range, strength and feeling, Kat intuitively connects with audiences in literally any setting. She has performed as a solo artist, as well as a lead vocalist, throughout the USA and Europe.

Kat has appeared on such television networks as MTV, the Food Network, CBS and WGN, as well as on such shows as Good Morning Arizona and Fox Morning Show. She has performed on CBS, KCRW, WLUW and other national radio stations, as well as on United/Ted Airlines and on the website for the Grammys, and has received praise from Billboard, The Washington Post and The Boston Globe, among others. She is sponsored as an Influential Artist by Yamaha Keyboards, Audix microphones and Parker Guitars.

Kat’s albums have been released nationally and distributed internationally, among them No Will Power (29 March 2005), which was funded by hundreds of Kat’s fans who raised over US$18,000 before the album was recorded, the Kat Parsons Limited Edition EP (Jan 2003) and Framing Caroline (May 1999), which is currently sold out.

Kat’s fiery performances offer a wide variety of music selections, ranging from jazz standards, and soulful and exciting blues to contemporary pop songs and tunes from the 60s-80s.
