Park Hyatt Saigon is delighted to introduce Hilary Scott from Missouri, USA, who will provide live entertainment in the Park Lounge every evening, except Tuesdays, from July 19 to October 15, 2008.
Raised on piano, violin, voice and guitar, this talented singer-songwriter experiments with different sounds, instruments and styles to create unique audio artwork. Said by some to exude the perfect mixture of the melodies in her musical performances, Hilary presents a fresh repertoire. Her music blends blues, folk-rock and classical influences into a pleasurable enigma. Her musical influences and inspirations are varied and appeals to a wide audience. And yet, her sound appeals to an extremely large audience as people seem drawn by her unique style and music.
Hilary received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Whitman College and minored in music education with a focus on vocal performance. Since 2003, she has been president and owner of her own corporation, Hilary Scott, Inc., and co-produced six albums, including Road To Hope; The Floating World; Hypothermia; Come In, Come In: Live!; Out of the Wilderness and The Best of Hilary Scott Live. Among many music-related honours and achievements, Scott was the first woman to be featured on the cover of Inside Columbia Magazine in December 2005, and was asked by Keith Colley (a Top Ten hit songwriter) to write the theme for his America’s Song project and recorded the song in Los Angeles.
Hilary’s fiery performances offer a wide variety of music selections and original compositions, ranging from jazz standards and soulful classics to contemporary pop songs. So, treat yourself to the colours and sounds of this talented performer in the cosy, relaxing atmosphere of Park Lounge.
